SNSD 少女時代 FLOWER POWER 꽃 전원

I wouldn’t be a Sone if I didn’t  mention  SNSD frequently.  As usual, the latest song/video release named ”Flower Power” 전원 which is from their 5th album "Girls Generation II” is going to be another long lived favorite.  It speaks of something that most of us are familiar with. The nightlife in clubs and the hazards of trying to find love there.  The two sets are very simple, depicting the club atmosphere. The neon or bright lights, smoke, loud music and the cheers all add to what draws us there. The song speaks of the persona we project while on the hunt. Thus, the spider pretending to be a butterfly or the beautiful flower with it’s sweet scent to lure you in. They say and act as we wish them not as they are.
I think the costumes also have a theme. One too me represents the “Black Widow” with its flash of red behind the camouflage of black. The second costume seems to depict the pretty waitress in a cute outfit that serves the venom. The dance is choreographed well with a couple of new signature moves for the girls. There’s the hand motion across the throat kind of representing “not gonna go there”.  But my favourite is where they show the fluttering butterfly which then quickly turns to fangs. Another fine production from the ladies and SM Entertainment. You can see this one and other great videos on my Youtube channel.
Until next time,
