TaeTiSeo
is a sub-unit of Girls Generation consisting of (left to right) Kim Tae Yeon김태연 (Taeyeon태연) who is the
leader of SNSD. Next we have Seo Joo Hyun 서주현 (Seohyun
서현)
who is the youngest (maknae) of the group. Finally, there is Hwang Mi Young황미영 (Tiffany티파니)
who is an American of Korean descent. They have produced a mini-album and a
music video called “Twinkle”.
The song is about a girl who shines like a
star even wrapped in a veil of dull everyday clothing. She wonders why it is that her man looks at
her with an indifferent attitude when everyone else sees her as a shining star.
The video has a few different sets to it. The
first is of them arriving in a limo to a red carpet outing with all the paparazzi
awaiting them. Another is of them getting ready for their performance so to
speak. I think this is giving us the impression of being beautiful even in their
night gowns and having curlers in their hair, which they are. Finally we see two of them coming down dual
staircases leading to a ballroom type stage with Seohyun and a piano at center stage. There
is a limited amount of dance to the video toward the end but it is well choreographed.
In the final scenes they play a joke on the photographers by sending their dog
through the front door while they laugh from the balcony above. I wonder if we
